All you need to know about our Earth Day Event!
This event has just about everything for the sustainability-minded family! Here’s all that you need to know about the event. This is a FREE event—there are some activities that might require purchase or there is a suggested donation (e.g., food and t-shirt upcycling), but everything else is free!
Electronic Waste Recycling
We’re excited to have Green Century Recycling on-site to help you safely and sustainably recycle your hard-to-recycle electronic products. Bring your old computers, those VHS tapes you’ve already digitized, your batteries, and that huge box of mystery cords you’ve been collecting. Each e-waste donation costs $5 per item or $20 per load and some of the items require an additional fee for Green Century Recycling (cost depends on the item).

Chicks, Goats, & Bunnies, Oh my!
Our incredible Garden Coordinator, Ms. Betsy has invited her farmer partner to bring not only the chickies that spend the entire week before at Faubion, but also GOATS and BUNNIES. Come and learn about these cute animals and maybe hold and pet one!
Faubion Garden Scavenger Hunt
Get to know the Faubion garden with a special scavenger hunt to look closely at the plants and the important critters that help the garden thrive.
Bottle Drop
Bring your empty cans and bottles to recycle and contribute to our bottledrop fundraiser. Bonus is that we’ll be getting 20% extra for all bags donated during Earth Week!
Recycled Art Projects, Upcycled Printed T-shirts, and more!
Get the kids involved in the action with a fun, recycled art project, make solar prints, and buy an upcycled shirt with the Faubion Earth Day print (for $12).
Climate Action Resources
and find out about how you can take action and talk to various climate justice orgs such as The Columbia Slough Watershed Council, Electrify Portland, and Reclaim It!
